Kudos to Google

I just can't help express my joy in appreciation of Google's recent righteous step against Chinese totalitarianism. For a corporate it's indeed a difficult decision to sacrifice billions of dollars and break ties with one of its biggest markets. But Google knows where to draw the line, and it knows to set an example. We need more responsible corporates like Google, which not only is looking into making profits, but also have the greater mission of serving humankind through promotion of democracy, human rights and development in all respects. In today's world the market is gaining more power every day, and big corporates are the ones that are becoming powerful. With great power comes great responsibilities. But often times we can find irresponsible corporates misusing the powers, committing environmental pollution, human rights violation and things that are simply not good for us in long term. Google on the other hand has set an example how corporates can be responsible with their powers and how they can make a difference. Other corporates should follow its footsteps. Google's decision is indeed a "slap on the face" of the world's largest nation for their misdeeds. I hope Google does keep its words and withdraw from China if Chinese government still refuses to relax the censorships on its media.
